Autumnize Your Planner
September 15, 2014
Each season brings new details to track, new events to plan for. Autumn is no exception, with preparations to make for one of the busiest times of the year. Here are some pointers on optimizing your planner for autumn:
• Review your goals for the year and set specific goals for the next three months. Break these goals down into individual components, and map out what it will take to accomplish them.
• Once you’ve mapped out your goals, mark your planner pages with reminders and deadlines for the tasks needed to accomplish them.
• Track upcoming plans, whether it’s for Halloween parties or further of during the winter. Starting a few weeks out gives you time to coordinate schedules and make travel arrangements, or to set up the intricate Halloween display you’ve been considering putting on.
• Make a list of the areas you need to winterize in your home or yard. Weekends tend to fill up fairly quickly, so mark tasks that need to be done now before they get crowded out. With forecasters predicting an especially cold fall for most of the country, you’ll want to stay ahead of schedule.
